EverWord Bible

Nearer Press ("we," "us," or "our") developed EverWord Bible as a simple, searchable King James Version (KJV) Bible application. EverWord Bible is designed to provide access to Scripture and Bible-reading tools while respecting the privacy of its users.
1. Information We Collect
EverWord Bible is designed to function primarily as an offline Bible-reading application. The current version of EverWord Bible does not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, email address, or telephone number in order to use the app.
Bible content is included within the application, and information such as bookmarks, reading progress, and app settings may be stored locally on your device.
2. How We Use Information
Information stored locally by EverWord Bible is used solely to provide and maintain the app's features. This may include remembering your bookmarks, reading progress, daily reading progress, preferences, and other settings you choose within the app.
This locally stored information is not used by Nearer Press for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
3. Information Sharing
Nearer Press does not sell, rent, or share users' personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
The current version of EverWord Bible does not transmit the locally stored bookmarks, reading progress, or app preferences described above to Nearer Press or to third parties.
If this changes in a future version of EverWord Bible—for example, if online services, analytics, advertising, accounts, or other features that involve user data are introduced—this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe those practices.
4. Third-Party Services
EverWord Bible uses the Flutter framework and supporting software libraries to provide its features. The current version of EverWord Bible does not intentionally transmit users' bookmarks, reading progress, preferences, or other locally stored app information to third-party services.
EverWord Bible does not currently use third-party advertising or analytics services.
Google Play and the Android operating system provide services necessary to distribute, install, update, and operate the application. Those services are subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy policies.
5. Data Security
Nearer Press takes reasonable measures to protect information associated with EverWord Bible. Because the current version of the app stores bookmarks, reading progress, preferences, and similar information locally on the user's device, the security of that information is also subject to the security of the user's device and operating system.
Users should keep their device's operating system and security features up to date and use appropriate device security measures, such as a screen lock or other access controls.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Information such as bookmarks, reading progress, daily reading progress, preferences, and other app settings is stored locally on the user's device for as long as the user chooses to keep it. Nearer Press does not maintain a separate copy of this locally stored information.
Users can remove locally stored EverWord Bible information by clearing the app's data through their device's Android settings or by uninstalling the app, subject to the device's operating system and settings.
Because Nearer Press does not maintain this information on its own servers, there is no separate Nearer Press account or server-based user data to request for deletion in the current version of the app.
7. Children's Privacy
EverWord Bible is a general-audience Bible application and is not specifically directed toward children. The current version of the app does not require users to create an account or provide personal information in order to use the app.
Nearer Press does not knowingly collect personal information from children through EverWord Bible.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Nearer Press may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to EverWord Bible, applicable laws, or our privacy practices. When changes are made, the revised Privacy Policy will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
